Meeting the Legal Standard of Doing Business in Nevada
To effectively reduce or eliminate your potential corporate tax liability, it is essential that your Nevada corporation meets the legal standard for maintaining and operating a business in the state of Nevada. Failure to do so severely limits your ability to take full advantage of the existing tax laws and to adequately protect your assets. In the state of Nevada, a corporation is required to provide the following proof that they are maintaining and operating a legitimate business: 1. The corporation must maintain a street address and office in Nevada. A post office box is not acceptable proof. The corporation must meet this requirement by providing copies of its cancelled rent checks. 2. The corporation must have its own telephone number, listed in its name, at the corporation's business address. 3. The corporation must retain employee(s) in its Nevada office to conduct business. 4. The corporation must have a business license issued to it by the Nevada city in which its corporate office is located. 5. The corporation must maintain a Nevada bank account. 6. The corporation's major business contracts must contain the provisions that they are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. |
