The name of the corporation must include a corporate suffix such as Corporation,
Corp., Incorporated, Inc., Company, or Co.
An original and one photocopy of the application must be completed to be accepted by this office.
In addition, the Nonprofit Classification Code(s) (NPSIC) which most closely describes the business activities of the
corporation must be stated. The NPSIC may be determined from the attached Nonprofit Classification Code listing.
A Certificate of Compliance (sometimes referred to as a Certificate of Good Standing; Existence) from the
corporation's state of domicile is required to be filed with the application.
The completed Application for Certificate of Authority, Certificate of Compliance, and $50.00 filing fee
must be submitted to:

Application for Certificate of Authority containing
the following information
- Requires the exact name of the corporation.

If the corporate name is not available in Alaska, another name may be selected.

Requires the name of the state in which the corporation is incorporated.

Requires the date of incorporation in the state of domicile and the period of duration. The period of
duration is the life expectancy of the corporation as indicated in the Articles of Incorporation. If the
state of domicile does not require a period of duration, indicate perpetual.

Requires the address of the principal office.

Requires the name and mailing address of the proposed registered agent. The registered agent may
be either an individual resident of Alaska, or a domestic or foreign corporation authorized to transact
business in Alaska. If the mailing address is a postal box, the physical address must be given as
well.

Requires a description of the type of business to be transacted in Alaska.

Requires names and addresses of the directors.
