D.C. For Profit Corporation
For Profit Corporation Name

The name must contain the word "Corporation," "Company," "Incorporated," "Limited,"
or an abbreviation thereof. The name shall not be the same as or deceptively similar
to name of a domestic corporation, authorized foreign corporation, or reserved name
already existing in the district.
Articles must be typed on plain bond paper; do not use letterhead paper. Letter sized and legal
papers are both acceptable.
Submit two (2) original signed sets of articles. (For non-profit corporations and cooperative
associations, two (2) sets originally signed and notarized.) DO NOT SIGN ARTICLES THROUGH
CARBON PAPER.
In articles, state the specific purposes the corporation will pursue. In the District of Columbia, general
purposes (such as "any lawful purpose") are not acceptable.
- ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION containing
the following information

The name of the corporation.

The period of its duration

The purpose(s) for which the corporation is organized

The aggregate number of shares which the corporation is authorized to issue.
If divided into classes, insert number divided into, the
designation of each class, the number of shares of each class, and the par value, if any, of
the shares, or a statement that the shares of any class are without par value.

State the preferences, qualifications, limitations, restrictions, and special or
relative rights in respect to the shares of each class
-
State that the corporation will not commence business until at least one
thousand dollars ($1,000) has been received as initial capitalization.

State the provisions limiting or denying to shareholders the preemptive right
to acquire additional shares of the corporation. (If there are no provisions, so state).

State the provisions for the regulation of the internal affairs of the
corporation. (If there are no provisions, so state).

The address, including street and number of the initial registered office of the
corporation and the name of the initial registered agent
at such address. The address, including street and number, if any, where it conducts its
principal business.

The number of directors constituting the board of directors is (give number),
and the name(s) and address(es) including street and number and zip code of the
person(s) who is/are to serve as director(s) until the first annual meeting of shareholders
or until successor(s) is/are elected and shall qualify
