The name must include the words ïregistered limited liability partnership” or
the abbreviation ïL.L.P.” as the last word or letters in its name.
The application must be executed by a majority in interest of the partners or by one or more
partners authorized by a majority in interest of the partners.
Please submit two executed copies of the application.
A registration is effective for a term of one year from the date the application is filed by the
Secretary of State unless voluntarily withdrawn by filing a written withdrawal notice. A
partnership may renew a registration by filing an application for renewal prior to the expiration of
the term of registration.
If the application is properly completed and submitted with the correct filing fee, the Secretary of
State will file the application and send a letter acknowledging filing. If duplicate copies are
submitted, the duplicate copy will be stamped ïfiled” and returned with the acknowledgement
letter.
