The name shall not contain any word, phrase, abbreviation, or derivative
thereof indicating or implying it is organized for any purpose other than
one or more purposes permitted by its certificate of incorporation. The
name shall be distinguishable from the names of other for-profit and
nonprofit domestic corporations, foreign corporations, domestic and
foreign limited partnerships, and current name reservations or registrations.
The name shall not contain any word, phrase, abbreviation, or derivative
thereof which use is prohibited or restricted by any other statute of New
Jersey. The name shall contain the word "Corporation," "Company,"
"Incorporated," an abbreviation thereof, or the abbreviation "Ltd."
Applicants who are
registering as a new Business Entity (Corporations, Limited Liability
Company, Limited Partnership or a Limited
Liability Partnership) must complete the Public Records Filing for New
Business Entity (pages 23 and 24) in
addition to pages 17-19( PUBLIC RECORDS FILING FOR NEW BUSINESS ENTITY).
