How long does it take to incorporate in North Carolina
North Carolina regular filing time normally takes approximately 1 week. (It currently takes 25 business days. State is running behind with filings) . There is no expedite option.
Once your company is set up, you will need:
- Tax ID (EIN) - free over the Internet or phone.
- Yearly Requirements and Fees for North Carolina companies - Annual Reports must be filed with the State of North Carolina each year. For Corporations the due date is the 15th day of the third month following the close of the fiscal year. For LLCs, April 15th each year. Corporation fees $20 and LLC fees $200. Franchise fees are also due yearly. Call the office of taxation at 877-252-3052 to get fee schedule.
