The registered agent must be either (1) an individual who resides in Florida and whose business office is the same as the registered office or (2) a corporation with a business office that is the same as the registered office. Can you reserve a company name on the website?

No. You must search for a name at www.sunbiz.org. Click on: ‘Online Searches & Document Images’. If the exact name comes up and its status is ‘inactive’, the name is now available for use by another entity. If the status is ‘active’, the name is NOT available for use. Once you have chosen a name, quickly submit for filing. If the name is not available, you will be notified.
