A recent survey conducted by Accountemps of 150 senior executives from human resources, finance and marketing departments within the nation’s 1,000 largest companies found that 35% are turning to interim workers to avoid overstaffing and layoffs of full-time employees.
Other benefits of hiring temps included:

- Takes the burden off existing employees: 17%
- Helps avoid productivity losses: 16%
