Remembering the KISS Principle in Business

Date: 06/28/2006 | Category: Business | Author: Claire Reid

Whether you prefer to assume KISS stands for “Keep It Simple, Stupid” or “Keep It Simple and Straightforward“, the basic principle is the same.

When dealing with a problem, we have a frequent tendency to make it more complex then it needs to be.   As a result, the solutions we attempt to implement are far more burdensome and cumbersome than we probably need. Therefore, as business owners dealing with business plans, simpler processes, and lower overhead, its important to practice the KISS principle whenever feasible.

After all, do we have so little on our plates, that the idea of simplification is not appealing anymore? I for one would value a little straightforward, simple business dealings every once and a while.
