From a recent poll by the human resources firm, Adecco:

  • 29% of employees report logging longer hours than they did a year ago while 32% are experiencing more on-the-job stress.
  • 75% claim to be “very” or “quite” loyal to their employer, with approximately 53% believing that loyalty is reciprocated.

A joint survey by Kronos Inc. and Harris Interactive found:

  • 82% of employees, satisfied with their employers, are more likely to go above and beyond the call of duty, if asked.
  • However, only 36% say they work for organizations that make investments in programs designed to bolster employee performance.

If you are thinking of landing a new job or are seeking a promotion, then the survey results of a NFI Research poll should shed some insight into what you need. Sixty-three percent of executives surveyed place a high value on a winning personality and likeability when considering a new hire or someone for a job promotion.
